The European iGaming Congress and Expo 2010 (EiG 2010) was held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen from October 19 to October 21. Yesterday it was over, but three informative days were enough to discuss all urgent and topical problems, make the plans for the future and cooperate with each other. It was the ninth session of EiG, which has become one of the most significant meeting grounds for the representatives of online gambling world. The session was organized by Clarion Gaming and sponsored by Playtech.

Over 1000 of delegates took part in EiG 2010, and among them were casino operators, software developers, jurisdiction representatives, officials and so on. The program was really effective, as many questions were discussed. All delegates took an active part not only in discussions, but they also found the partners for future co-working there. The first opening day was devoted to regulatory problems, future opportunities for consolidation of several casino operators and quickly developing gaming areas. These were rather general topics, which brought quite specific results, which may be soon applied at practice.

The second day was more informative, as it covers a wider spectrum of issues concerning different spheres of online gambling. In the morning discussion of online gambling in 2015 was on the agenda. The floor was taken by Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, who provided with several possible ways of future development of the industry. Then the delegations pass to the discussion of such questions as interaction with land-based casinos, lotteries and other branches of entertainment and media sphere. And the day ended with the discussion of legal issues with special attention paid to the problems in New Jersey, the USA, what was elucidated by Joe Brennan Junior, the Chairman of iMEGA.

And, perhaps, the most important issues were left for the last third day. They deal with innovation matters and situation with online casinos in the USA. All possible ways of settlement of problems were discussed by representatives of e-gaming world. Important conclusions were made and soon we will be able to see the results.

Moreover, there was an expo with newly developed products ready to go on stream. Microgaming, Moneybookers, Playtech and WagerWorks were the participants of the exposition. So these three days were rather efficient for online gambling representatives. Particular results are not yet made public, but we are looking forward to it.
